Mark 'BuddyRo' Harrison

Dive Bar Troubadour

Troubadour

40 plus years

“Growing up, I thought I would always be a Chevy guy, but now I’ve been a Fairlane for almost 40 years’’, says Mark” BuddyRo” Harrison. (Greensboro’s own self proclaimed Divebar Troubadour)

This roots music band has been playing in the southeast for over three decades with Mark at the helm. Mark wrote and produced The “Mighty” Fairlane’s CD  The Longer I Live ,the band’s first all original CD in 2017.

Originally from nearby Thomasville NC, Mark’s Dad managed the local radio  station. Mark spent countless hours there sifting thru  LP’s that forever molded his taste for music and provided him with lyrics to the original tune, “My Playground”.

During the COVID shutdown, Mark began more solo performances around the Greensboro area. He also recorded his first solo CD   Divebar Troubadour  2021 which consist of all original tunes.

Mark loves music. It’s that simple. His songs are down home goodness, telling the stories of life as a busy musician.

BuddyRo will be the first to tell you that he doesn't take himself or his music too seriously.

“My songs won’t ever change the world;  but if I can create an image, a thought, or an emotion for even a couple of minutes then maybe I can help make someone’s day a little brighter. It definitely helps me,” BuddyRo explains.

Mark “ BuddyRo” Harrison has created an impressive career pleasing Triad NC crowds with his unique bluesy, rock sounds. Born in Thomasville, NC, his introduction to music came early ,where he shadowed his father who ran the local radio station.
As frontman for The Mighty Fairlanes, BuddyRo writes about events that take place down the backroads of the South. His songs impart the universal truth of simple living and not taking things so seriously. “ I’m not in this industry for fame or money. It’s the songwriting and storytelling that has been my motivation,” explains BuddyRo.
BuddyRo’s newest original recording , “ I’m Through With Trouble”, is out now!. He’s joined by his band mates, Colby Jernigan on bass, Chip “Memphis” Click on drums, as well as other musicians from the area. The CD was recorded, produced, and mastered at Earthtones Studio by Benjy Johnson.
